Burrillville teens avoid charges in bus vandalism

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (AP) – Police say six Burrillville High
School students who admitted to letting the air out of tires on all
the town's school buses won't face criminal charges, but will still
be punished.

Lt. Kevin San Antonio tells The Providence Journal that managers
at Dattco Bus Co. decided not to pursue criminal charges.

Even though all the students are 18, police will not release
their names because they have not been charged.

The teens allegedly let the air out of all the bus tires and
took fire extinguishers from the buses on May 28, delaying the
start of school for two hours.

Police say in addition to making restitution, the teens face
suspensions and must perform community service.
