Businesses evacuated with gas leak in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – There were multiple evacuations of businesses in Providence on Saturday evening, according to firefighters.

Firefighters told ABC6 News, there was a gas leak at a business on the 200 block of Thayer Street around 5:30 p.m., which prompted the evacuations.

After about 30 minutes, the scene was cleared for the businesses to reopen.
