Buttonwoods Annex to close after employees test positive for COVID-19

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE)- The Buttonwoods Annex in Warwick will close for the rest of the week due to four employees testing positive for COVID-19.

Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi said the building will remain closed to the public until at least the end of the week for proper sanitization.

Most employees will be working from home and building inspectors will continue inspections in the field, according to Picozzi.

Picozzi said tax payments, sewer, and water bills can either be paid online or residents can put payments into the drop boxes located outside of the Annex or City Hall.

“I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but I want to keep both the citizens and our employees safe and healthy, said Mayor Picozzi on Tuesday.
