The Rhode Island Amateur moved into match play on Wednesday at Wanumetonomy Country Club in Middletown.  In an interesting moment of deja vu, Billy Andrade's son Cameron was playing Paul Quigley in the afternoon match.  Billy defeated Paul for the title of the RI Amateur, 29 years ago.

This afternoon, Cam did his dad proud by beating Quigley 4 and 3 to advance to the quarterfinals on Thursday.

Cam will face Charlie Blanchard in the quarters.  Seamus Fennelly will face Eddie Hjerpe, Jason Barrow will play Jamison Randall, and Bobby Leopold is matched against Jonathan Drumm on Thursday.
