Cameron Begins Rehab with the PawSox

Gwinnett edged the PawSox on Monday night at McCoy, 3-2. Chris Resop earned the win, making a spot start in place of James Parr, who fell ill before the game. Resop (3-1) pitched 5 innings. He allowed 1 run on three hits, striking out 6. The run came on a Bubba Bell single that plated Lars Anderson. The only other PawSox score was an eighth inning run. Angel Sanchez singled in Mike Cameron, who had doubled.

Cameron, on an ML rehab assignment went 1-3, witth a walk. He had to test his ability to run full speed, legging out the double and scoring the run. After the game, Cameron reported that all was well, and he would be ready to continue his assignment on Tuesday, adding centerfield to his duties. He was the DH on Monday.

Daniel Nava singled for the PawSox in the sixth inning, extending his hitting streak to ten games.

The series continues on Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. Adam Mills (0-3, 5.64) will pitch for Pawtucket.
