BOSTON (AP) – Rookie defenseman P.K. Subban scored his first NHL
regular-season goal, and Carey Price stopped 34 shots to lead the
Montreal Canadiens to a 3-1 victory over the Boston Bruins on
Thursday night.
Tuukka Rask continued his hard-luck season, losing for the fifth
time in five appearances despite making 38 saves. The Bruins have
lost three of their last four after opening the season with seven
wins in their first nine games.
Former Boston College star Brian Gionta also scored for
Montreal, and Scott Gomez made it 3-1 midway through the third
period. Andrei Kostitsyn had a pair of assists for Montreal, which
has won four in a row in Boston.
