Car Chase Ends With Crash into Courthouse

ABC6 Cameras rolling in Providence, just after 11 a.m. Thursday morning, as a suspect's car smashed into a column at a court house.

The incident began on Interstate 195 west in East Providence, during a routine traffic stop. When the officer asked the driver of the vehicle for a license, the car sped off. A chase ensued, and eventually ended when the car crashed into the Licht Judicial Complex on South Main St. in Providence.

After the crash, the three people inside the car ran away, but have since been apprehended.
