Woman seriously injured after crashing into fence in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A woman suffered serious injuries after crashing into a fence in Providence early Thursday morning.

A white sedan slammed into the fence around 1 a.m. at the corner of Prairie and Comstock avenues.

The driver, identified as a 34-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital for her injuries. She is not facing charges at this time, said police.

ABC 6 News crews at the scene witnessed a large amount of debris in the road, as well as significant damage to the car.
