Car crashes into Hanson home

HANSON, Mass. (WLNE) — Hanson police said a car crashed into a home in Hanson Monday night.
Deputy Chief Michael Casey said at 6:52 a.m. police and fire responded to Whitman Street for reports of a vehicle that had crashed into a house.
Police said the driver was a 49-year-old woman from Hanson. She was the only occupant of the vehicle.
They said she was transported to the hospital for her injuries.
Authorities said one person was in the home at the time of the crash and did not report any injuries.
Deputy Chief Casey said the house sustained extensive damage. The residents are expected to return once gas and water are restored.
The identity of the driver was not immediately released.
