A Warwick couple was forced out of their home after a car crashed into their bedroom.

The car sped right through a wall into the home at 89 Diamond Hill Road around 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

The homeowners told ABC6 the crash destroyed a heating line and crews had to turn off the water. National Grid was also on scene and had to turn off the electricity.

Bill Bjerke and his wife were not home at the time but are devastated by what happened.

Bill described how they found out, “A neighbor called us and said, ‘you’ve got to come home, there’s a car sitting in your front bedroom.’ And I went, ‘Oh my God.’”

According to the Bjerke’s this is the ninth accident on their property in 30 years, but the first time a car actually went through their house.
