Car sent over median after crash on I-95, driver flees on foot, state police investigating

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- A car was sent over the median on Route 95 after crashing into another vehicle on Thursday morning, according to Rhode Island State Police.

State police tell ABC6 that the incident happened at around 6 a.m. near Exit 20 on I-95 South.

The driver crashed into another vehicle, causing his or her car to roll over the median onto I-95 North.

State Police said that the driver immediately fled on foot from the scene of the crash.

It is unknown if anyone was injured during the crash.

The identity of the driver is unknown, state police are investigating.
