CCRI President gets a three year contract extension

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – The President of the Community College of Rhode Island is getting a new three-year contract.

Despite opposition from the CCRI Faculty Union, Rhode Island’s higher education officials approved the new contract for President Meghan Hughes.

While council members praised Hughes for her leadership and her implementation of the Rhode Island Promise Scholarship Program, the faculty and other unions say they feel disrespected by the new contract.
