Celtics guard Marcus Smart makes assist to children’s hospital

Children's Wisconsin shared a photo of Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart chatting with some patients via Zoom, Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022.

BOSTON (WLNE) — Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart donated two “Smart Carts” to Children’s Wisconsin over the weekend.

The hospital said that the carts were filled with Nintendo Switch Lites, tablets, games, and other items for kids in the Infusion and Dialysis areas.

Smart donated the carts in honor of Milwaukee Bucks guard Jrue Holiday and his with Lauren, who both paid a visit to some of the patients over the weekend.

“Supporting kids is bigger than anything else. This is awesome and glad the kids will use it to get their minds off of some serious stuff,” the NBA Defensive Player of the Year wrote in a tweet.

The 28-year-old even stopped in via Zoom to chat with some of the kids.

Smart’s YounGameChanger Foundation has made donations to hospitals, schools, frontline workers during the pandemic, and more.
