Celtics lose Game 7 in NBA Eastern Conference

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — After a historic game 7, going down three games to none, the Boston Celtics lost the final playoff game against the Miami Heat, 103 to 84.

Of the other 150 NBA teams that found themselves in the same position as the Celtics, none had the chance to do so on their home floor.

The win would have made the Celtics the only team in NBA history to come back from being down three games to none to win a playoff series and place them in the ranks among the 2004 Boston Red Sox and the 2017 New England Patriots.

The historic matchup comes after Derrick White’s tenth-of-a-second save, scoring the final points against the heat to send the team back to Boston.
