Celtics Players, Interim Coach Mazzulla React To Udoka Suspension On Media Day
CANTON, Mass. (AP) — The Celtics were supposed to enter the preseason as one of the favorites to emerge from the Eastern Conference on the heels of their surprise run to the NBA Finals last season under rookie head coach Ime Udoka. Then came Udoka’s suspension. Boston interim coach Joe Mazzulla says he’ll take his time giving people time to “feel and heal.” None of the players who spoke at media day said they had talked with Udoka since his suspension was announced. But they acknowledged that their emotions remain all over the place, having learned of Udoka’s suspension on social media before getting basic information from the team.
