Arrest made in Central Falls “chop shop” bust

Central Falls Police got more than they bargained for when
they were called in for a disturbance.

On July 24th, the Central Falls Patrol Bureau was
investigating the area of Cross
Street and Pine Street when they discovered a stolen
motorcycle ring. Upon further investigation, police found narcotics and
firearms, as well.

Jason Goncalves, 31, is being charged with two counts of receiving
stolen goods, three counts of manufacturing and delivery of narcotics, three
counts of possession of a firearm while violating the controlled substance act,
and one count of possession of a firearm with an altered identification number.

The investigation is still open, and Goncalves is being held
at the ACI until August 7th when he will appear back in court.
