Central Falls man arrested in connection to body found off highway

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE)-A Central Falls man has been arrested for murder in connection to a body found at a Lincoln rest stop last month.

Jose “Chepe” Aparicio-Mendoza, 31, is being arrested for the murder of 50-year-old Jose Segura.

Segura’s body had been found at a rest stop by hikers just off of 295 south on November 26th.  He had been reported missing on November 10th to the Providence Police Department.

Segura and Aparicio-Mendoza worked together installing floors, according to Rhode Island State Police.

Aparicio-Mendoza is being charged with one count of murder and will be arraigned in the 3rd District Court on Tuesday afternoon.
