Central Falls PD investigates midday shots fired

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE) – At approximately 4:21 p.m. on Monday, Central Falls police reported to 182 Illinois Street following reports of shots fired.

During a search of the area, Police discovered shell casings on the sidewalk of Illinois Street.

At around the same time, Central Falls police received a call from the Central Falls Fire Department about a 17-year-old male that had run into the station with a gunshot wound.

The wounded teen was transported to Hasbro Hospital. As of Tuesday morning, the victim is still receiving treatment at the hospital for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
