WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island State Police said Monday that a 25-year-old Central Falls woman died in a crash on Interstate 95 in West Warwick.

The crash happened just before 2 a.m. on I-95 north, about 1700 feet south of Exit 24A.

A witness told police that the car was traveling in the right lane and lost control possibly because of the wet roads, police said.

Police said the car left onto the should of the road, where it rolled over and hit a tree.

The driver, identified as Beatrice Batista, was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene, added police.

No further information was immediately released.
