Some Jif peanut butter products being recalled because of potential salmonella contamination

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Health said Monday that J. M. Smucker Co. is recalling some Jif peanut butter products because of potential salmonella contamination.

The products that were recalled have lot codes 1274425-2140425. Those codes can be found next to the best-if-used by date.

To learn more information about the potentially contaminated products, visit fda.gov.

The Department of Health is advising anyone who has these products to throw them away immediately.
