WARWICK, R.I. — The latest changes for drivers of the Apponaug Circulator set to take effect Tuesday afternoon.

The traffic pattern is now switching to two-ways in the latest phase of the construction.

The Apponaug Circulator construction has been a headache for Warwick drivers for a while, but this latest change should ease things up a bit.

The changes are part of the $71 million project aimed at reducing traffic and attracting more people and businesses to the village. Most of the one-way circulator will now accommodate two-way traffic, except for a stretch on post road near city hall.

These changes will be put in place around noon Tuesday.

If all goes to plan, the project is slated for completion sometime in 2017.
