BOSTON (WLNE) — The charges against the New England Patriot’s cornerback, Jack Jones, have been dropped.

According to court documents obtained by ABC 6 News, a court proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Jones was aware of the gun in his bag at the time of his arrest at Logan Airport back in June.

Documents further state that Jones legally purchased the guns in Arizona and took the necessary steps to become a lawful gun owner in the state of Massachusetts.

On June 16, Massachusetts State Police arrested Jones after Logan Airport security found two handguns in his carry-on bag.

He was charged with possession of a concealed weapon in a secure area of an airport, possession of ammunition without a Firearm Identification Card, unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm and possession of a large-capacity feeding device.
