Chief Marshals picked for Bristol 4th of July Parade

BRISTOL, RI (WLNE) – With less than two months until the Bristol 4th of July Parade, the Chief Marshals for the 2021 celebration have been announced.

They are Ken Januario, Mike Januario, and Steve Januario.

Two brothers and a cousin were chosen to lead the 236th version of the nation’s longest continuous Fourth of July Celebration.

Being Chief Marshall for the celebration is a big deal with a lot of responsibility in America’s most patriotic town.

They say they’re honored to carry on the tradition.

“Steve, Ken, and I are lifelong Bristol residents and it was 36 years ago that my father Manny, and his brothers Tony and Joe were picked as Chief Marshals for the 200th 4th of July Parade. Ken, Steve, and I are honored to follow in their footsteps,” Mike Januario said.

The 2021 Bristol 4th of July Parade is being planned as a full celebration with the anticipation that most COVID-19 restrictions will be eased by then.

You can watch it right on ABC6.

The 4th of July falls on a Sunday this year so the parade will be on Monday the fifth.
