UPDATE: 9-year-old struck on Mineral Spring Avenue broke arm, legs

PAWTUCKET, R.I. – A 9-year-old was struck in the area of Mineral Spring Avenue and Slater Street in Pawtucket Tuesday afternoon at approximately 3:50 p.m.

The child sustained two broken legs and a broken arm/shoulder and was transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital.

Police determined the operator of the vehicle to not be at fault.

The driver was released without being charged.
