Church files petition to buy West Valley Inn property

WEST WARWICK, R.I. — The iconic West Valley Inn, which shut its doors in September, could be turned into a church.

The “SouthPointe Christian Church” filed a petition Monday to buy the front building of the inn for $600,000. That building is the smaller of the two.

The non-denominational church has been holding services at the showcase cinemas in Warwick.

A hearing on the petition is scheduled for December 19th.
