Cianci aide convicted in Operation Plunder Dome, Frank Corrente, dies

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A key figure in Operation Plunder Dome and top aide to former Providence Mayor Buddy Cianci has died.
Frank Corrente passed away Wednesday, according to former Providence City Councilman and current state Rep. John Lombardi.
He was 94 years old.
Corrente served as Cianci’s chief of administration.
He was indicted on corruption charges as part of Operation Plunder Dome after he was caught on tape receiving a $1,000 bribe.
Corrente was sentenced to more than four years in prison for his role in the corruption case.
