Citizens Bank mobile, online services restored

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Citizens Bank tweeted at 9:35 A.M. Wednesday that its mobile and online bank services were experiencing technical issues.
The bank has announced that is working on resolving the issue as quickly as possible. It also released that users may experience off-and-on access as the company works on the problem.
Mobile and online banking is currently unavailable. Our technical teams are taking every step to make this service available as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience. All other services are functioning normally.

Citizens Bank tweeted again at 11:31 A.M. to announce that access had been restored for some users, but that the problem was still being worked on.
As of 11:30 am, we’re working through the issue and some users are now able to access online and mobile banking. We’ll continue to work to restore all access and will post an update when complete, or at 12:30 pm. Thank you for your patience.

At 12:37 P.M, Citizens Bank tweeted that most access to mobile and online services had been restored, though some users are still experiencing issues. It also reported that all other services are up and running.
UPDATE: Shortly after 2:15 P.M., Citizens Bank announced that service has been restored to all users.

This comes a little over a month after the bank reported a similar service outage on April 27th, 2018.
Citizens Bank has asked that users contact (800) 922-9999 for account assistance.
