Closing arguments set in Boston Marathon bombing trial

By The Associated Press

BOSTON (AP) _ It’s a final chance to make up the minds of jurors — or change them — as closing statements are set to begin today in the Boston Marathon bombing trial of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

The defense is expected to continue its portrayal of Tsarnaev as a man under the domineering influence of his radicalized older brother.     Prosecutors will likely remind jurors of the brutality of the attack and the deaths and injuries.

Tsarnaev’s lawyers admit that their client took part in the bombing that killed three and wounded hundreds others, but they say Tsarnaev’s older brother was the mastermind. He was killed during the manhunt.
