CO Police Discontinue Field Operations in Search for George Aldrich
ABC6 News has learned that the Pitkin County Sheriff's Office in Colorado, has discontinued the field operations for missing Rhode Islander George Aldrich.
The police department issued a press release Friday, informing the public of their decision to no longer continue field operations.
According to the press release:
The decision to discontinue the field operations was a joint decision made by the Incident Management Team, and agency heads. [The] decision was made after reviewing all search operations to date, current leads, and information obtained from the public
The Pitkin County Sheriff's Office will continue to keep the case open, and is still asking for the public's help in finding George Aldrich. Anyone with any information is asked to call police.
George Aldrich went missing on Saturday, November 27, 2010. Aldrich was last seen getting off a bus around 10:15 p.m. at the Truscott bus stop, near Aspen, CO.
