‘Coach’ documentary about Dan Mazzulla premieres

“Coach, The Legacy of Daniel E. Mazzulla Jr.” premiered Saturday afternoon.

The documentary that captures the longtime Johnston coach and parks and recreation director made its debut at the Johnston indoor recreation center, which is dedicated to Mazzulla.

Mazzulla died in 2020 after battling a brain tumor. The movie premiered on the three-year anniversary of his passing.

The film was produced by Cam Iasimone, who played for Mazzulla growing up in Johnston.
