NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE) – The Point Judith Light is shining once again after a blown transformer took it out of commission earlier this month.
Coast Guard officials told ABC6 the light has been re-lit after several weeks of darkness.
A similar incident happened several years ago in 2013. It took several weeks then as well to restore power to the light.
According to the Coast Guard no wrecks were reported during the time the light was out of commission.
