Cold rain through Tuesday, snowflakes fly Wednesday night

PROVIDENCE, R.I.(WLNE) — A chilly rain has arrived and will last through the day on Tuesday. Highs will only reach the low 40s tomorrow as colder air comes down from the north.

Skies clear Tuesday evening and the sun returns on Wednesday. The sun will be back on Thursday, but not before a fast-moving cold front brings a very quick bout of snow after midnight.

Despite sunny and dry conditions Thursday and Friday, highs won’t escape the 40s. Rain returns Friday night as temperatures rise into the 60s during a soaking Saturday.

Dry and cool weather will round out the weekend.
