Cold rain & wind, some wet snow possible NW hills

A cold rain is overspreading the area now, and will continue through tonight into Friday.  The rain comes along with gusty north/northeast winds.  Overnight into early Friday, there’s a chance some locations northwest of Providence may switch to wet snow with a minor slushy accumulation possible.  The chances are highest for the hills of northwest Rhode Island.  Rain continues Friday, along with gusty breezes, tapering off late in the day.  Lingering showers are possible early Saturday, otherwise chilly and raw with a lot of clouds.  Sunday comes with another shower chance, but it’s not quite as cool.  Monday is warmer and unsettled with a small shower chance.  Tuesday is the warmest of the 7 day forecast, and it should be dry.  Wednesday is warm with rain arriving late in the day, then we’re cooler and dry for next Thursday.
