Collision with car leaves motorcyclist with serious injuries

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I (WLNE) – A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital after a collision with a car on Thursday.

South Kingstown police and emergency services responded to a reported collision at Mooresefield Road and Karison Street at 5:30 PM.

According to the department, the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet when the accident happened.

The motorcyclist was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the car was uninjured and remained on the scene.

Police are currently investigating the collision and have no further information to report at this time.
