Comic Con returns to Rhode Island for first time in two years

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – They came, they saw and they certainly had a blast.

Rhode Island Comic Con wrapped up their weekend event Sunday at the Dunkin Donuts Center.

A who’s who of celebrity guests on hand, including David Koechner, who starred in Anchorman and The Office.

“It’s my first time in Rhode Island,” Koechner told ABC 6. “I wish I had more time to check out the architecture. It’s so gorgeous.”

Besides the celebrities, thousands of fans also packed the arena and convention center for the 3 day event. It was a triumphant return for Comic Con after it was put on hold last year because of Coronavirus.
