Commuter Rail Service to Warwick Finalized

According to a release from the Governor's Office, a plan to bring MBTA commuter rail service to Warwick, RI, has been finalized.

A formal press event will be held Wednesday to release more details about the plan.

The announcement, made by the Governor's Office and the RI Department of Transportation,will address the plans to bring train service to the new TF Green Airport station six times a day. When the Wickford Junction station opens in late 2011, service will also run to North Kingstown.
