HOPE, R.I. (WLNE) – Confreda Greenhouses and Farms located in Hope, Rhode Island will be accommodating senior citizens with grocery shopping during this difficult time.

The farm will be open 2 hours early on Wednesday, March 18 from 9 am to 12 pm for senior citizens (65+) and disabled persons. Management will only be allowing 15 people in the store at a time.

In a statement on their Facebook page, “Confreda’s has been part of the community for over 95 years and over the last few days, we have heard some horrible stories about some of the most vulnerable members of our society. We intend to do whatever we can to help.”

In addition, due to high demand, Confreda’s is temporarily closing 1 hour earlier during the week to 5:30 pm, allowing staff time to restock shelves and a much-needed break.

Confreda’s will be open Monday through Friday 11:00 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
