Congressman Jim Langevin will serve again in the U.S. House of Representatives for District 2.

Langevin, a Democrat, beat out Republican Rhue Reis, a licensed contractor in South County.

Langevin was elected into the Rhode Island House of Representatives in 1988 before becoming the nation’s youngest Secretary of State in 1994. He was re-elected to a second term in 1998, before successfully running for the U.S. House of Representatives where he has served since 2000.
