Construction worker hospitalized after cement truck tips over in Taunton

TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Taunton police said one person was hospitalized after a cement truck tipped over at a construction site Tuesday morning.

According to police, first responders arrived to the site on Jefferson Street around 11:30 a.m.

Officials said the driver of the Redi-Mix Services Inc. mixing truck was injured when it tipped over and rolled onto its driver’s side.

An ABC 6 News viewer shared surveillance footage that shows the cement truck tipping over and crumbling a cement foundation at the construction site.

The driver was taken to an area hospital for treatment, police said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
