Two people were stabbed in Taunton at 270 Myricks Street Tuesday night at the start of a rampage that left three people dead including the 28-year-old suspect.

An 80-year-old woman at that house was killed, her daughter remains hospitalized.

One neighbor tells us her son was outside in the front yard when he heard a crash. She says he ran over to find out what was going on.

"He saw somebody jumping, the person came from the house with a knife in his hand jumping over the fence and so my son backed off," said the neighbor who didn’t want to be identified.

Witnesses say the home is right next to a soccer field. They believe there may have been a game going on at the time of the stabbing.

"They’ve lived here for many many years as long as I’ve lived here they’ve lived here," said that same neighbor.

Tuesday night the street was blocked off.  A damaged red pick-up truck was seen being towed away.

"You don’t expect things like this to happen in your neighborhood really one house away. You just don’t expect things like this to happen," said another neighbor.
