State Police have arrested a general contractor for misappropriating over $90,000 in client's money.

State Police received three separate complaints from victims who say they hired Scott Ferguson of Coventry to complete various construction projects. The victims say that before the work begun they made substantial payments to Ferguson to purchase the necessary materials.

After the payments were made the victims say Ferguson never returned to work.

An investigation revealed that Ferguson received over $90,000 in payments.

Records indicated to police that the money was used for personal purchases and paying bills unrelated to business expenses.

Ferguson could face fines of up to $50,000 or up to twenty years in jail.
