A convicted killer out of jail on parole was back before a judge today, this time facing drug charges.

Gerald Mastracchio was ordered held without bail as a parole violator. He stands accused of growing and selling marijuana out of his home while on parole. Police arrested Mastracchio over the weekend after a three month investigation in which they discovered 28 marijuana plants, scales, and papers in his home.

Mastracchio was released from prison in 2010 after serving a life prison sentence for beating 13-year-old Ricky Valente and throwing him off the Jamestown Bridge killing him in 1979. While in jail Mastracchio also killed another inmate with gardening tools.

After his release Mastracchio has been back behind bars  for violations but was released again in 2012.
