Cooler Weekend Ahead

After such a lovely day Friday, we will see temperatures go back to seasonable levels for the weekend. High pressure will keep skies sun-filled both Saturday and Sunday, but a change in the wind direction will make a difference in the temperatures each day. Saturday, a northwesterly wind brings air from Canada, returning temperatures to seasonable, topping out in the lower-40s. Sunday brings air in from the southwest, bringing milder air back to the region and driving high temperatures into the lower-50s. A coastal storm is expected to develop this weekend off the south coast of the US. It will then head northeast and will brush by Southern New England to our south. It may swing close enough to bring clouds and a chance of showers Monday morning. Valentine’s Day Tuesday brings high pressure back with sunshine and highs near 50.
