The Coventry Fire District Board voted Tuesday night to change Fire Chief Paul Labbadia’s status to suspended without pay.

Labbadia had been suspended with pay last month after being accused of drinking and golfing on the job.

An investigation by the State Police and the district into the accusations is ongoing.
