Coventry man held on drug charges

COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) – A suspected drug dealer has been arrested on several drug charges after an investigation by Coventry Police Detectives

Zackery Montijo, 25, of Coventry was arrested on April 23rd after a court-authorized search of his Murray Street apartment resulted in the seizure of 14 grams of cocaine, digital scales, packaging materials, and over $13,000 cash.

Motijo was arraigned in Kent County District Court where he was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine and Possession of Amphetamine. He was also presented as a probation violator on a 2014 Felony Assault charge.

Police said additional charges of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Controlled Substance Conspiracy are also pending for Montijo’s role in the sale of carfentanyl to a woman in March 2018

Montijo was ordered held without bail at the ACI ahead of his next appearance in court.
