Coventry Police arrest suspect in animal cruelty investigation


COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE)- A Warwick man that turned himself into Coventry Police on Thursday, January 14, was charged with ten counts of Cruelty to Animals and ten counts of Animal Mistreatment.

David Pancarowicz, 61, is the owner of a farm located on Twin Brook Lane in Coventry where police and animal control officers executed a search warrant on Wednesday the 13th.

Officers say that they found multiple animals that were living in unacceptable conditions. The animals were without food and water, some were also severely under weight.

The following animals were seized from the property: five cows (two of the five were calves), four goats, one
sheep, one donkey, and one piglet.

Pancarowicz will be formally arraigned in Kent County District court within the upcoming months.
