COVID-19 testing resumes at T.F. Green Airport

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) – Travelers can once again get a rapid COVID-19 test at T.F. Green Airport.

The testing originally went on during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, but stopped, because it wasn’t needed with the increase in testing sites throughout the state, according to a spokesperson for Rhode Island’s health department.

But, now the testing is back indefinitely.

“It’s a site where a lot of people are at and, you know, just looking at our resources. We have extra, we have testing resources now, and it seemed like a really good way to use them, and get people tested,” RIDOH spokesperson Joseph Wendelken said.

The testing is 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and you need to show your airline ticket in order to get a test.
