You could call him the NFL barber. A Cranston man has been cutting some of the New England Patriots player’s hair for years.

It all started in 2012 when Emmanuel Garcia, owner of Details Barber Shop, got introduced to player Tayvon Wilson. From there word spread quickly, and other Patriot’s began coming into the Park Ave. shop.

With the big game coming up players are popping in for cuts. Manny tells ABC6 that the Pat’s players he see’s are superstitious about their locks.

“Especially playing any big opponent– a hair cut makes you feel good, look good and play great. That’s what they usually tell me. And usually they give me a text after the game– ‘Manny, thanks for the hair cut. You know I balled out last night,” he said  laughing.

Manny says he shares a special bond with the guys. When they’re in his chair they talk about sports, cars, music and movies.
