Cranston massage parlor closed after police investigation

An illegal massage parlor in Cranston was closed today and one of its employees is now under arrest after detectives confirmed she was not a licensed massage therapist.
The Cranston Police Department received information that the Sun Massage Parlor was conducting acts of prostitution out of their business at 96 Rolfe Square, Cranston, RI.
Owner of Sun Massage Parlor, Li Sun, is confirmed to have filled out an application with the city to the conduct massages at her business but never appeared before the City of Cranston Safety Service and Licensing Committee.
Advertisements for the business were found by detectives on Backpage.com. Asian women were featured in the ad offering full body massages with a statement that read “Make you leave with a big smile”.
An undercover officer went into the Massage Parlor and received a massage from an Asian female. Detectives entered the business after the transaction was completed and placed Jian Kong under arrest for not having a license in massage therapy.
Li Sun was not at the business at the time but detectives notified her that she can not open Sun Massage Parlor until she receives approval from the city.
