Cranston native identified as victim in apparent Framingham homicide

FRAMINGHAM, MASSACHUSETTS (WLNE) – Police are actively investigating an apparent homicide after a Cranston native was found dead in her Framingham apartment.

According to the Middlesex District Attorney, the victim is identified as 28-year-old Jasmyn Beatty, a resident of Halstead Apartments in Framingham.

According to her Facebook page, she was originally from Cranston and is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.

At approximately 8:37 a.m. on Tuesday, Framingham police received a 911 call from a person known to Beatty, reporting she was dead in her apartment.

According to police, Beatty had suffered “obvious trauma”.

The death is being investigated as an apparent homicide. Investigators still have not made a determination about whether or not this is an isolated incident.

The office of the Chief Medical Examiner accepted the case and will determine the cause and manner of Beatty’s death.
